Climate17 is delighted to be supporting a high-growth climate advisory business in the appointment of an Associate Director to join its Client Advisory team.

Our client is a leading carbon credit intermediary working with some of the world’s largest organisations to deliver high-integrity climate solutions.


They partner closely with corporate clients to design tailored carbon mitigation strategies, supporting nature restoration, carbon removal, and impactful climate projects globally.

The Role


This is a senior commercial and advisory role within the organisation’s Client Advisory function - the commercial front line of the business.


The Associate Director will work closely with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on carbon strategy while driving commercial growth and long-term partnerships.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Advising senior executives and leadership teams on carbon markets, climate strategy, and mitigation approaches.
  • Designing bespoke carbon and nature-based solutions aligned to client objectives.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with large, global organisations.
  • Driving new business growth within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams, including project and delivery functions.
  • Contributing to the development of go-to-market strategy, client propositions, and product design.
  • This role offers significant exposure to leadership, influence over strategy, and the opportunity to help shape a rapidly growing climate-focused business.


About You


The successful candidate will be a commercially minded advisor with a strong interest in sustainability and climate impact.


  • 5 - 8 years’ experience in client advisory, business development, or commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with senior management and C-suite stakeholders.
  • A clear passion for sustainability and climate solutions; experience of carbon markets is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with financial products, professional services, or advisory environments.
  • Confidence, energy, and creativity, with the ability to develop tailored solutions.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth, start-up or scale-up environment.
