Senior Estimator - Solar PV and BESS
Climate17 is working with a renewable energy business that is growing out its EPC arm. This particular role is seeking an estimator with experience driving technical and economic proposals for utility-scale photovoltaic solar projects.
This role is based in North Carolina, ideally looking for someone located near Charlotte.
The business is on an exciting growth trajectory and this role has considerable opportunities for growth.
The Role
- Lead on RfP requests, bidding and cost analysis for PV projects
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, legal, planning)
- Develop preliminary solar plant designs using industry-standard software
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to optimize pricing and contracts
- Prepare technical and economic proposals for high-profile solar projects
Your Experience
- Engineering Degree or similar (ideally mechanical, electrical or civil)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in proposal engineering (Utility-Scale)
- Strong people skills, sales and negotiation
- Strong knowledge of PV design measurements, estimations, preliminary layouts
- Experience with PVsyst, PVcase, AutoCAD, Terrabase and Excel
- Ability to analyze costs, assess contract specs, and negotiate with suppliers
- Passion for renewable energy and project development
- Any experience with MS Project Planning would be beneficial
Salary and Benefits:
- $130k – $160k senior-level applicants
- $110k – $130k for mid-level applicants
