About Us: Climate Vault Solutions is the integrity and execution layer for high-impact climate action. By leveraging leading scientific and commercial expertise across compliance carbon markets, carbon dioxide removal, and super pollutant mitigation, we work with over 50 organizations globally to achieve their climate and net-zero commitments, driving reductions of more than $200M in estimated climate damages to date.

Founded at the University of Chicago by Dr. Michael Greenstone, former Chief Economist for President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisors, Climate Vault Solutions is guided by an independent scientific committee (the “Technology Experts Chamber”) chaired by Dr. Ernest Moniz, former U.S. Secretary of Energy. The Technology Experts Chamber is composed of subject-matter experts with diverse experience across academia, government, and the private sector who set the rigorous standards by which Climate Vault Solutions evaluates and selects carbon dioxide removal (CDR) and super pollutant mitigation (SPM) projects to join its portfolio and meet our clients’ needs for high-integrity climate action.

About the Role: We are seeking a Supply Manager to own and execute Climate Vault Solutions’ Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) and Super Pollutant Mitigation (SPM) procurement programs. The Supply Manager will be in charge of managing day-to-day operations of these programs and fostering supplier relationships. This includes developing and maintaining an active supplier pipeline, conducting detailed supplier application reviews and due diligence, and leading supplier onboarding efforts, including negotiating and executing contracts with successful applicants.

This is a temporary (contract-to-hire) remote work position with the opportunity to transition to a full-time, salaried employee position. The Supply Manager will be part of the Supply team and will work closely with our independent scientific due diligence committee, business development, and management. This role is ideal for someone who learns quickly on their feet and is seeking an impactful growth opportunity with hands-on leadership experience at a distinguished organization making a positive impact in the fight against climate change.

Your Impact: During this 6-month window, you won’t just be “filling a seat.” You will be leading the operation and execution of a critical business function, working in close collaboration with Climate Vault Solutions’ senior leadership and gaining exposure to leading experts across the CDR and super pollutant mitigation space.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of two procurement programs for high-quality carbon dioxide removal (CDR) and super pollutant mitigation (SPM) projects.
  • Build and maintain an active supplier pipeline aligned with Climate Vault Solutions’ technical criteria, integrity standards, and commercial requirements.

  • Spearhead supplier contract negotiations in collaboration with executive leadership team and external legal counsel.
  • Facilitate ongoing CDR project audit processes and manage audit partner relationships.
  • Track and analyze procurement program data to guide executive decision-making, support commercial efforts, and enable external communications.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ working experience in project management, consulting, or similar client-facing roles.
  • 2+ years’ working experience in carbon markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder project workflows simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills; able to adapt communication style for diverse audiences, both written and verbal, and distill complex information into easy-to-understand language and formats.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications

  • MBA or Masters/PhD in sustainability, environmental science, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of CDR and/or SPM project types.
  • Well-versed in leading voluntary carbon market frameworks (e.g., ICVCM) and standards (e.g., Climate Action Reserve, Isometric, VCS).
  • Comfortable representing the company in a dynamic, external-facing role.
  • Experience using AI tools to automate workflows.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce or other CRM databases.
  • Familiarity with Submittable or similar application management platforms.

How You’ll Succeed in this Role: You will succeed by balancing technical rigor with a natural talent for relationship-building. You are a strategic problem-solver who transforms ambiguity into action and moves seamlessly between deep-focus project work and high-stakes external representation. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, pairing a strong sense of autonomy with a commitment to cross-team collaboration. In our growing organization, your agility and attention to detail will directly scale our collective impact.

Compensation Range: This is a 6-month contract role, expected to be full-time (40 hrs/week). Contract compensation is $45–$60/hour, equivalent to an annualized full-time salary of $90,000–$120,000, depending on experience and location. This role is eligible to convert to a full-time, salaried position at the end of the contract period.
