THE INTERNSHIP
Climate Investment have a fantastic opportunity for a Summer Intern to join our Investment Team for an 8-12-week placement (dependent on candidate availability). During your internship, you will be supporting the London-based Investments team on a wide range of tasks including deal flow management and sector reviews.

THE INTERNSHIP
Climate Investment have a fantastic opportunity for a Summer Intern to join our Investment Team for an 8-12-week placement (dependent on candidate availability). During your internship, you will be supporting the London-based Investments team on a wide range of tasks including deal flow management and sector reviews.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Assist the team with screening and performing initial quantitative and qualitative analysis of the pipeline of investment opportunities.
- Undertake detailed sector and thematic research and analysis to aid deal flow.
- Gain exposure to investment pitch calls and investment committee meetings.
- Assist the team with ad hoc projects including analysis of past deal data and deal flow management tool updates.
- Hands-on experience: Engage in real-world projects and gain practical skills in climate finance and impact investing.
- Mentorship and guidance: Receive personalized mentorship from industry experts, providing valuable insights and career advice.
- Networking opportunities: Connect with professionals, investors, and thought leaders in the climate investment sector, expanding your professional network and potential career opportunities.
- Impactful contribution: Contribute to projects that aim to address climate change challenges, making a tangible difference in the global effort towards a sustainable future.
- Exposure to diverse perspectives: Collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals from various backgrounds, fostering a rich learning environment and encouraging innovative solutions to climate-related issues.
- Degree in an area relevant to Climate Investment preferred, such as Economics, Business or Climate w/ Finance, or operating experience in a climate-related start-up.
- Analytical competence a requirement; basic financial acumen preferred.
- Advanced IT suite skills (particularly ChatGPT/AI tools, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Well organised and pro-active.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distil and articulate key messages.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Able to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively often under time pressures.
- A strong understanding of data and data-driven decision making would be highly beneficial.
- A demonstrable interest in Climate Impact and/or Climate Investments would be beneficial.
- Commitment to the mission of addressing climate change.
- The position is based in London, UK.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory.
- Our expectation is that the intern's working pattern will mirror the Investment team's, namely in-office attendance on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and remote or in office work on the remaining days.
- Our internship rate is London Living wage.
