You’ll oversee key project timelines, manage onboarding workflow and team workload, and drive cross-organisational coordination to ensure flawless event execution.

About the role


This is an exciting opportunity for a Speaker and Events Manager with a passion for climate action to join a dynamic and ambitious team. You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient registration and briefing of high-profile speakers and delegates. Additionally, you will manage the invitation process for roundtables to ensure a smooth experience for all participants.


With line management responsibility for a Speaker and Event Officer, you will drive timelines, logistics, and cross-organisational coordination to ensure flawless execution of all sessions at the Opportunity Summit and Climate Week NYC. Acting as a key point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to globally influential climate events and work alongside leaders driving meaningful climate action. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content, you will be well supported to play a critical role in ensuring that our events help drive Climate Group’s mission, bringing together the world’s most influential people to tackle climate change.


Key responsibilities will include:


Project and Process Management

  • Own timelines and progress for speaker registration, delegate outreach, and session delivery
  • Identify process improvements and create efficiencies for self and team
  • Communicate updates clearly across internal teams and project stakeholders


Speaker and Delegate Support

  • Manage end-to-end speaker registration, briefing calls, webinar updates and logistical support
  • Oversee roundtable delegate invitations, communications, and attendance tracking
  • Serve as primary point of contact for speakers and attendees before and during events


Event Execution and Reporting

  • Provide onsite support to speakers, delegates, and sponsors to ensure smooth sessions
  • Produce briefing materials, run sheets, and post-event reports on session performance
  • Track metrics including attendance, engagement, sponsorship goals, and EDI balance

About you

Essential

  • Proven experience managing senior stakeholders, including C-suite and government, with influence and constructive challenge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across cultures, seniority levels, and geographies
  • Solid project-management ability, able to coordinate multiple timelines and deliver complex event workflows end-to-end
  • Hands-on event delivery experience, including speaker onboarding, briefing calls, logistics, and on-site support
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, producing accurate run sheets, briefing packs, and post-event reports
  • Comfortable analysing and reporting event metrics, such as attendance, engagement, and sponsorship outcomes
  • A collaborative team player who remains professional and calm under pressure, offering practical support and strategic input while upholding Climate Group’s mission and values.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and financial drivers for businesses and NGOs


Desirable

  • Proven experience producing high-quality B2B events
  • Strong knowledge of climate issues and sustainability drivers
  • Experience collaborating with national or subnational governments
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience working within NGOs or charitable organisations

Where you’ll work


Based in our London office, near the iconic Tower Bridge, you’ll enjoy a flexible hybrid working arrangement of five days in the office over the fortnight.


Our office is designed to support both collaborative work and focused individual time. It includes accessible facilities, a well-equipped gym, secure bike storage, and showers. Plus, we’re easy to reach by bike and public transport.


The role will require occasional international travel.

This is a fixed-term 6-month position. The salary offered is £36,420 to £38,559 per annum, based on experience.
