Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Officer to help deliver high-impact, strategic marketing that engages senior business and government leaders and helps shape real-world outcomes. You’ll play an important role in amplifying our global brand and thought leadership, strengthening Climate Group as a leading voice in wider climate and economic conversations.

This is a role for a creative, impact‑driven communicator who thrives in dynamic environments. If you’re energised by turning significant moments into meaningful engagement and lasting influence, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, cross-channel marketer to join our dynamic Marketing team. You’ll create compelling, insight-driven content and capture real‑time moments at our flagship events, including Climate Week NYC, which convenes hundreds of organisations, world leaders, and over a thousand events. You’ll translate complex climate issues into integrated campaigns that inform, inspire, and motivate action.

As part of the creative heart of Climate Group, you’ll blend storytelling, social innovation, strategic thinking, and data‑led insight to elevate our influence, visibility, and reach.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll play a critical role in delivering Climate Group’s mission, engaging global audiences to accelerate climate action and drive meaningful change.

Key responsibilities will include:

Event marketing and campaign leadership

  • Support high-impact marketing workstreams across our global campaigns and flagship events, including Climate Week NYC and the Climate Group Asia Action Summit.
  • Help shape the creative direction of launches, announcements, and partner activations, strengthening our brand and amplifying our mission.
  • Develop scalable content formats that turn live moments into ongoing digital engagement and reach.

Social media excellence and innovation

  • Lead the implementation of the strategy for LinkedIn and Instagram to ensure Climate Group is a top-tier voice in global climate conversations.
  • Use performance insights to shape creative iterations and push the boundaries of our formats, from video storytelling to influencer collaborations.
  • Create a joined‑up approach to our social media: share best practices, support teams, and make sure our content across all platforms is consistent, engaging and impactful.

Content and thought leadership

  • Create compelling thought leadership for newsletters, campaigns, digital channels, and senior leadership, that elevates our position on the world stage.
  • Translate complex climate topics, research, data and insights into credible, high impact narratives for diverse global audiences.
  • Develop cross‑regional storytelling, brand campaigns, and creative assets aligned with global moments throughout the year, experimenting with new, innovative content formats.

Data and strategic insights

  • Inform brand narratives by leading the tracking of social media analytics, using dashboards to surface insights that improve content strategy.
  • Define success metrics across campaigns and channels, using audience insights to refine targeting, messaging, and channel mix.
  • Produce event and campaign insight reports that shape future creative direction, translating data into actionable, strategic recommendations for partners and internal teams.
  • Support colleagues across Marketing, Comms, Systems, and Events in understanding analytics and audience behaviour.

As a mission-driven organisation, we may ask colleagues to take on temporary assignments or secondments in a different team to support organisational priorities. We see these as opportunities for development and internal mobility, managed transparently and with appropriate support.

You’ll work in a highly collaborative, international environment, where a diversity of perspectives and experiences is valued and encouraged.
