Summary

Are you ready to shape how some of the world’s most influential organisations engage in climate action?

As Climate Group’s interim Head of Partner Services, you’ll lead a pivotal function that unites event sponsorship, key account management and member experience into a powerful, cohesive approach to partnership engagement. You’ll drive our global sponsorship strategy, ensuring our partners play an integral role across flagship global moments such as Climate Week NYC and the Asia Action Summit, while also strengthening the year-round experience that keeps partners informed, inspired and committed.

If you’re an experienced, purpose-driven leader who understands sponsorship as part of a broader partnership ecosystem, this is your opportunity to create meaningful impact at scale.

This role is offered as a 13-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.

About the role

The Head of Partner Services leads Climate Group’s integrated approach to partner engagement, bringing together event sponsorship, key account management and member experience to ensure partners receive consistent, high quality value across our events, networks and programmes. You’ll drive the strategic direction for sponsorship across our $5m global event portfolio, driving business development and overseeing delivery that meets the highest standards.

You’ll also guide the overall partner experience, strengthening retention, growing account value and embedding best practice in partner management, working with senior decision makers at the world’s largest companies. You’ll make high-impact strategic decisions on sponsorship and partner engagement that shape Climate Group’s income, reputation and long-term partnerships.

This is a leadership role, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, balancing strategic vision with operational excellence. You’ll be recognised internally as the expert on sponsorship and partner engagement strategy, guiding organisational thinking and decision-making in this area. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of eight, collaborate across Events, Marketing and Programmes, and play a crucial role in partner retention and sustainable income growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the strategic development and delivery of Climate Group’s event sponsorship programme, ensuring it is integrated, high quality and commercially strong.
  • Drive sponsorship income growth through clear proposition design, relationship development and senior level engagement.
  • Oversee end to end sponsorship delivery, working with Events and Marketing teams to ensure seamless execution and strong sponsor experience.
  • Build long term strategic partner relationships, acting as a senior representative of Climate Group and identifying opportunities to grow engagement through high-level negotiation, cross selling and upselling.
  • Ensure strong retention and stewardship of partners through tailored engagement, reporting and feedback loops.
  • Ensure partner engagement meets Climate Group’s values, governance standards and compliance requirements, upholding high standards across contracts, due diligence and organisational reputation.
  • Champion effective use of systems and insight, including CRM (HubSpot) and project management tools (ClickUp), to inform decision making and performance tracking.
  • Lead and be accountable for the performance, development and impact of the Partner Services team, ensuring clarity of roles, priorities and ways of working.

As a mission-driven organisation, we may ask colleagues to take on temporary assignments or secondments in a different team to support organisational priorities. We see these as opportunities for development and internal mobility, managed transparently and with appropriate support.

About you

You are an experienced business development leader who understands the commercial and relational dynamics of partnerships – and how these sit within a wider ecosystem. You thrive on building relationships, spotting opportunities and turning bold ideas into action. You combine sharp commercial judgement with a deep commitment to climate action, understanding what makes event led partnerships succeed and how to align them with real impact.

You bring experience leading high performing teams and building trusted relationships with global brands. You’re comfortable in fast paced, external facing environments and skilled at connecting with purpose driven partners, communicating ambition and mobilising support for climate action.

We value strengths and a passion for learning – if you meet most of the criteria below, we encourage you to apply.
