Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Co-Founder at Climate Decode. The Co-Founder will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's vision, leading strategic decision-making, and driving growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing effective strategies, building and maintaining partnerships, conducting research to expand the business, and promoting the company's solutions through communication and marketing efforts. The Co-Founder will also be responsible for steering sales initiatives and collaborating closely with the team to achieve ambitious goals.

Technical & Strategic Responsibilities

• Own and drive product strategy and development for carbon markets, offsets, and residuals functionalities.
• Lead creation, refinement, and operationalization of VCM methodologies, crediting frameworks, integrity criteria, and quality standards.
• Guide integration of carbon market logic, price signals, credit types, and compliance systems into platform workflows.
• Shape thought leadership around market best practices, high-integrity carbon credits, credit pricing, and methodological innovation.

Business & Leadership

• Co-define the company roadmap, go-to-market strategy, and product-market fit for carbon markets globally.
• Engage with developers, buyers, standards bodies, and climate practitioners to align product with market needs and emerging VCM norms.
• Represent Climate Decode externally in partner conversations, investor discussions, and industry events.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in carbon markets, with strong exposure to voluntary carbon markets (VCM), compliance systems, or both.
• Deep expertise in carbon credit methodologies, approvals, and high-integrity standards, including IC-VCM principles, CCP quality criteria, and equivalent frameworks.
• Proven track record of building or leading carbon market products, platforms, or methodologies, from concept to market adoption.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities, enabling data-driven decision-making, market analysis, and methodological innovation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, collaborate across teams, and contribute to industry thought leadership.
• Demonstrated sales, partnerships, and go-to-market experience, including business development, ecosystem building, and market expansion.
• Strategic mindset with a clear ability to define and execute long-term plans aligned with company vision and commercial goals.
• Well-established network across climate, carbon, and sustainability ecosystems, including developers, buyers, advisors, and institutions.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable operating in early-stage environments with high ownership and accountability.
• Clear commitment to environmental sustainability and climate impact beyond compliance or reporting.
