About Climate Collective Foundation (CCF)

Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) works to accelerate climate innovation and entrepreneurship in India. As part of this mission, CCF is developing an Impact SaaS platform that enables climate-tech startups and investors to calculate, track, verify, and report climate impacts.

The platform will integrate startup impact data, calculation models, and investor portfolio analytics, enabling investors to monitor climate impact across their portfolios while allowing startups to generate standardised impact reports.


Role Overview

CCF is seeking an experienced developer/architect to lead the development of the Impact SaaS platform.

The developer will work closely with the CCF team to translate existing Excel-based impact calculation tools into a functional SaaS platform, design the system architecture, and build core modules including user management, startup data entry, impact calculation, investor portfolios, and dashboards.

The development is a priority project, with the goal of delivering a functional platform within 2 months.


Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Architecture & Development

Design and develop the core architecture of the Impact SaaS platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing scalable database structures and workflows
  • Developing responsive web interfaces and user flows
  • Implementing role-based authentication and user management
  • Structuring data relationships between startups, projects, investors, and portfolios


2. Impact Calculation Engine

Translate existing Excel-based impact tools into platform workflows.

Tasks include:

  • Converting calculation logic into backend workflows
  • Implementing formulas and conditional logic for impact calculations
  • Structuring data pipelines for impact metrics (e.g., emissions avoided, energy saved, water conserved)
  • Ensuring accuracy and validation of calculations in collaboration with the impact team


3. Data Collection and Input Modules

Develop dynamic input interfaces for startups.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building domain-specific data entry forms for climate solutions (mobility, waste, circular economy, clean energy, etc.)
  • Enabling project-level data inputs
  • Supporting bulk data uploads (CSV/Excel) where applicable
  • Ensuring data integrity and validation across workflows


4. Investor Portfolio Module

Develop investor-facing portfolio management features.

Tasks include:

  • Creating investor accounts and portfolio management interfaces
  • Allowing investors to add startups to their portfolios
  • Implementing startup confirmation workflows for project visibility
  • Aggregating impact metrics at the portfolio level


5. Dashboards and Reporting

Develop visual dashboards for both startups and investors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Startup dashboards displaying project-level impact results
  • Investor dashboards showing aggregated portfolio impact
  • Domain-wise impact visualisations
  • Generating downloadable reports or impact certificates


6. Testing and Quality Assurance

Ensure platform stability and usability.

Tasks include:

  • Conducting module testing and end-to-end workflow testing
  • Identifying and resolving bugs and UX issues
  • Supporting user acceptance testing with startups and investors


7. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer

Prepare documentation as per CCF protocol to support long-term platform maintenance.


Responsibilities include:

  • Documenting database structures and workflows
  • Preparing technical notes for platform management
  • Supporting the development of user guides and SOPs


Required Experience

  • Proven experience building applications similar to the impact platform
  • Experience designing SaaS platforms or complex web applications
  • Strong understanding of database design, workflows, and data relationships
  • Ability to translate Excel-based logic and analytical models into software workflows
  • Experience building data dashboards and reporting interfaces
  • Ability to work independently and deliver within tight timelines


Preferred Experience

  • Experience building analytics or data-driven platforms
  • Familiarity with API integrations, plugins, and external services
  • Experience working with impact measurement, sustainability, or ESG-related platforms
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools and dashboard design

  • A working Impact SaaS platform prototype
  • Startup data entry and impact calculation modules
  • Investor portfolio management features
  • Startup and investor dashboards
  • Documentation for platform workflows and maintenance
