Course Developer - Data and AI for Energy Optimization (Part-time Consultant)

Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) is India’s largest non-profit climate tech startup support organization, and a leading convenor of the national climate innovation ecosystem.

Startup Earth Centre (SEC) is CCF’s flagship EdTech platform, designed to foster climate tech entrepreneurship across India. SEC offers open access, online, self-paced short duration courses through a modular learning format, and addresses practical skills gaps for aspiring entrepreneurs, youth innovators, researchers and investors navigating the climate tech landscape. 

About the Role: 

We are looking for a Course Developer to build a Data & AI for Energy Optimization Overview course for the SEC platform. This course is envisioned as a practical, beginner-friendly introduction to how data and AI can optimize energy systems, improve efficiency, and reduce costs across sectors. 

Learners will gain hands-on understanding of analytics, forecasting, and smart energy tools in the context of India’s evolving energy landscape and climate goals. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop course content on AI/ML applications in energy optimization, including forecasting, load management, and efficiency analytics 

• Cover energy systems, demand-side management, and digital optimization tools in the Indian context 

• Integrate frameworks such as BEE standards, PAT Scheme, ISO 50001, and ECBC 

• Design modules around India’s energy landscape (grid mix, renewables, DISCOMs, key government schemes such as PM Surya Vihar and KUSUM) 

• Create video scripts, case studies, and hands-on exercises aligned with self-paced learning 

• Use real-world Indian startup and SME examples to ground concepts 

• Collaborate with the CCF team to refine and improve content 

Who should apply:  

Required

• 4-7 years of experience in energy analytics, energy management, clean energy consulting, or industrial efficiency 
• Exposure to data/AI applications in energy systems, optimization, or smart infrastructure 
• Strong understanding of energy frameworks (BEE, PAT Scheme, ISO 500001, ECBC)
• Demonstrated experience in content development, curriculum design or training 
• Strong communication and writing skills 

Preferred 

• Experience with AI/ML, data analytics, or digital tools in energy systems 

• Exposure to climate tech startups, ESG, or sustainability consulting in India 

• Familiarity with renewables, storage, or smart building technologies 

• Experience with online or self-paced learning formats 

• BEE Certified Energy Auditor/Energy Manager (plus) 

Location: Remote (India-based candidates preferred) 

Type: Part-time consultancy
