Climate Change Committee - Private Secretary

Location – Canary Wharf, London (flexible hybrid working)

Salary – £39,201 - £42,008

Are you a natural organiser who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment? Do you want your work to matter, not just to your team, but to the planet?

The Climate Change Committee (CCC) is the UK's independent expert adviser to Parliament and Government on climate change policy - a high-impact organisation at the heart of one of the most important challenges of our time. We're looking for a proactive and polished Private Secretary to support our CEO and Chief Analyst at the very centre of it all.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied and genuinely interesting role. You'll manage busy diaries, handle high-profile correspondence and build relationships with senior stakeholders from government ministers to Committee Chairs. No two days look the same. One morning you might be coordinating a briefing pack for a parliamentary engagement; the next, welcoming guests to the office or arranging international travel logistics.

You'll be the engine that keeps the Private Office running smoothly, with the trust and discretion that comes with operating at the most senior level of the organisation.

What we're looking for

You’ll bring excellent organisational and communication skills with strong MS Office proficiency, and the ability to stay calm and focused when priorities shift at pace. Previous Private Office experience is a bonus, but your attitude and adaptability matter most. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to form close working relationships with colleagues at all levels to gain their trust. We need someone who can be flexible and adaptable and has the ability to operate in the role with upmost discretion.

Why join us?

You'll work alongside world-leading experts in a collaborative, inclusive culture that invests in your development with flexible working, compressed hours, competitive salary, civil service pension scheme and other benefits all on the table.

Interviews are expected from w/c 20th April.
