Role Description
We are looking for a Project Assistant who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in renewable energy and resource efficiency - especially energy efficiency. This position offers hands-on experience in real projects for undergraduate students (preferably in their 3rd or 4th year), graduate students, or recent graduates aiming to build a career in sustainable development.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of technical and financial proposals for national and international tenders in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
- Contribute to business development by researching new tenders and opportunities, preparing preliminary analyses and briefing notes.
- Assist in developing project implementation methodologies through desk research, reviewing best practices, and preparing technical content.
- Support project teams in data collection, analysis, and structuring reports.
- Prepare and edit presentations, reports, and project documents in both English and Turkish.
- Actively participate in planning, monitoring, and reporting activities during implementation phases alongside project leaders and experts.
- Ensure proper organization of project documents, deliverables, and tracking systems.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate, graduate, or recent graduate in Engineering (preferably energy, electrical-electronics, mechanical, chemical, environmental), Environmental Sciences, Economics, International Relations, Political Science, or related fields. Part-time opportunities are available for students; full-time for graduates.
- Basic knowledge of renewable energy (especially solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biomass); relevant coursework or personal research is a plus.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency practices in buildings, industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects; understanding of energy saving potential calculations and performance indicators.
- General awareness of green finance mechanisms, sustainability investments, and climate change mitigation efforts in Turkey and internationally.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English (essential for reporting and proposal writing).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret technical data and communicate it clearly.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented, organized, responsible, and proactive.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, multitasking work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of projects financed by international financial institutions (EIB, EBRD, World Bank, etc.).
- Experience in proposal writing, project management tools, or data analysis (Excel dashboards, basic financial analysis) is a plus.
