Type: Full-time, Direct hire

Salary range: $110,000 – $125,000 base

Summary:

Our client in the Energy sector is looking for a Senior Sales Manager to spearhead business development and account strategy initiatives with major automotive and Tier 1 manufacturing clients. This pivotal position is tasked with enhancing the company's presence in the North American battery market. The perfect candidate will possess a robust background in chemical materials and have experience of overseeing significant enterprise relationships across both technical and commercial domains.

Duties:

  • Take charge of account strategy, manage relationships, and foster revenue growth with essential OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Convert customer requirements into practical internal strategies involving sales, technical, and R&D teams.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and commercial planning.
  • Create and present technical sales proposals and presentations.
  • Keep track of market trends and pinpoint business development opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to facilitate new product launches and customer onboarding.
  • Act as a company representative at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in technical B2B sales within the chemical materials or battery sectors, with extensive expertise in electrolytes, lithium-ion battery systems, and OEM procurement processes.
  • A demonstrated history of successfully managing strategic accounts and securing significant contracts, complemented by strong communication, relationship management, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
