Financial Analyst
Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst will play a key role in analyzing investment scenarios, supporting transaction execution, and providing insights to drive strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, corporate finance, and data interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling & Valuation
• Assist with maintaining financial models to evaluate investment scenarios and opportunities.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess how key variables affect financial outcomes.
• Analyze model outputs and provide clear insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Transaction Execution
• Support due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
• Identify, evaluate, and structure investments, flagging and addressing key risks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external parties (e.g., lenders, advisors) to support capital and debt raising.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and investor materials (e.g., pitch books, corporate decks) for senior management and other external stakeholders.
Market & Industry Research
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic conditions affecting the renewable energy sector.
• Translate research and financial data into insights on business trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Stay informed on the broader economic and regulatory landscape to anticipate potential impacts on investments.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
• Maintain an organized, up-to-date repository of stakeholders and external parties engaged.
• Track client interactions, communications, and lead progress.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a related role.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry is preferred but not required.
Skills and Competencies
• Experienced in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of corporate finance principles.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
