Location of Position

While remote candidates will be considered, it is preferred that this role be based in the NYC metro area with a commitment to a minimum of 2 in-office days.

Position Summary

The Analyst, Project Development will be responsible for supporting development of CleanCapital’s pipeline of solar and energy storage projects as well as assisting its development partnerships. This involves managing project documentation, coordinating schedules, facilitating communication across departments, and ensuring efficient execution of tasks. The Analyst, Project Development is expected to complete complex tasks independently, with oversight and input from their supervisor and other team members. This position will support a vital growth of GW/GWh of new renewable energy projects.


Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development efforts of solar and storage projects from greenfield inception to NTP
  • Support day-to-day coordination with partners on routine projects and partnership needs
  • Manage assigned tasks and coordinate with appropriate contractors, development team members, and outside stakeholders to accomplish goals
  • Support new project diligence by completing assignments and conducting research as needed
  • Work collaboratively across verticals to evaluate and improve project development, management processes and associated resources while maintaining positive partner relationships


Education Requirements

  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
  • PMP, MBA or equivalent certification/experience is a plus


Technical Skills and Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in renewable energy development
  • Experience with solar energy, battery storage, and related technologies
  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Excel modeling skills a plus

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion
