About the Section


The Communications section delivers cohesive, user focused communications that support agency priorities. We bring together external and internal communications, content creation, a creative studio and web and channel management, to produce impactful and accessible information.

Working closely with all areas of the agency and informed by data and research, we translate goals into practical strategies and high-quality outputs across our communication channels. The purpose and objectives of the section are to:


  • deliver strategic, clear, consistent, accessible communication that builds trust and supports the agency’s objectives and priorities
  • provide a centralised, integrated service across content, design, website and channel management which is coordinated through business partnering and scheduling to ensure seamless delivery
  • align communications with standards, manage risk and emerging issues, create user-focused and user informed content and digital experiences, optimise resources and continuously improve through data-driven insights
  • partner with business areas to develop integrated briefs and plans and report on outcomes for continuous improvement
  • design and publish brand-consistent, accessible content and creative assets that make complex information clear and engaging
  • maintain governance for websites and channels, refine user experience and information architecture, and implement improvements based on performance data and feedback.


About the Role


We are seeking a Senior Multimedia Production Officer to bring our stories to life through video, animation, photography and digital content.

In this key creative and technical role, you will work closely with the communications section and internal business areas to support delivery of the agency’s communications priorities.

From concept to delivery, you’ll create compelling videos, animation, motion graphics and photography, as well as supporting live streams, to inform, educate and inspire audiences internally and externally.


The role is a good mix of autonomy and collaboration, with the opportunity to apply your strong technical abilities, creative direction and effective project management skills to translate complex, technical information into engaging and accessible digital content.

The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on specialist, comfortable working on multiple projects at a time and tailoring content to suit different channels and audiences, while operating within brand, governance and public-sector frameworks.
