Our role is determined by climate change law. We administer schemes that contribute to the Australian Government climate target of reducing emissions to 43% below 2005 levels by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050.

About the Roles


The Senior Designers will work as part of a team of design professionals to create a range of design artefacts and provide design advice and guidance to support software development and service transformation within the agency’s scaled agile framework (SAFe). The role works collaboratively with others, produces high-quality design outputs and advocates for best practice design principles and standards.


As part of your key responsibilities, you will:


  • Develop and improve high-quality design artefacts such as service backbones, blueprints and prototypes that support service delivery.
  • Ensure design artefacts align with user needs, technical feasibility and organisational goals.
  • Apply best practice design principles, frameworks and standards ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate and facilitate sessions with design and architecture, delivery teams and internal stakeholders to develop and improve design artefacts.
  • Provide design support and guidance to delivery teams as required.
  • Participate in design team and cross-functional meetings and Agile ceremonies.
  • Identify, share and implement opportunities for improvement in design processes, outputs and ways of working.
