About the Roles
We are looking for dedicated Regulatory Officers to join the ACCU Scheme (Vegetation), Nature Repair, and Analytics branch. As a Regulatory Officer, you will be part of a team responsible for assessing applications and ensuring compliance with requirements for projects under the ACCU scheme.
The branch is seeking applicants to fill immediate and anticipated vacancies and to create a merit pool for future similar vacancies across the branch and/or agency.
Role Responsibilities and Duties
Under general direction, the APS Level 4 Regulatory Officer will be expected to:
- Assess and review applications to ensure compliance with legislative criteria using established procedures and systems.
- Educate and support scheme participants to develop understanding of and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Develop and manage key strategic relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to promote the Agency business objectives, manage change and resolve conflicts.
- Contribute positively to risk management, strategic planning and decision-making processes.
In addition to the above, APS Level 5 Regulatory Officer will also be required to:
- Apply work knowledge, precedent and established legislation to support the development of policy, procedures, guidelines and technical improvements that can be applied to situations involving considerable complexity.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
We are seeking a wide range of skills and experience in the various roles to completement our multidisciplinary team.
- Qualifications and/or work experience in environmental science, agricultural science and ecology are highly desirable, but not essential.
- Experience using geospatial data software, such as ArcGIS Pro will be highly regarded.
- Prior experience, qualifications, or understanding of legislation or regulation, policy, program or project management, data analytics, environmental accounting frameworks, or economics would be an advantage.
