Our role is determined by climate change law. We administer schemes that contribute to the Australian Government climate target of reducing emissions to 43% below 2005 levels by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050.

About the Section


The Products & Services Section enables the Clean Energy Regulator to operate as a technology-enabled organisation by providing secure, reliable and sustainable digital platforms and services. The section supports a democratised IT operating model, where technology capability is distributed across multiple delivery teams and business areas, by focusing on platform stewardship, vendor management, cyber security, and cross-cutting enablement.


The section promotes shift-left behaviours, automation and self-service to reduce duplication and reliance on bespoke solutions. By identifying opportunities for reuse and consistency across platforms, Products & Services improves organisational resilience, scalability and the effective use of technology to deliver agency outcomes.


About the Role


Under broad direction, the Platform Enablement Manager will:


  • Lead the Platform Enablement function to support the agency’s transition to democratised IT, enabling safe, consistent and scalable use of digital platforms across multiple delivery teams and business areas.
  • Maintain a cross-platform view of the agency’s technology landscape to identify systemic friction, duplication and opportunities for automation and reuse.
  • Identify, prioritise, or recommend cross-platform enablement and automation initiatives that improve self-service and reduce manual effort.
  • Translate architectural, security and governance intent into practical enablement artefacts, including guidance, patterns and automation-ready reference approaches.
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships across delivery teams, sustainment functions, governance areas and vendors to enable shared outcomes.
  • Provide technical insight and context to support vendor engagement, risk discussions and senior decision-making.
  • Strengthen organisational resilience by embedding institutional platform knowledge, patterns and lessons learned into shared practice.
  • Lead and develop staff to operate effectively as enablers within a distributed and evolving technology environment.
  • Contribute to section planning, reporting and continuous improvement activities in line with branch and agency priorities.
