About the Branch

The Transformation Office works collaboratively to deliver reliable, trusted data and products. Through future strategy, business architecture, strong governance, and efficient delivery, we enable stakeholders to make faster, more informed decisions. This ensures regulatory compliance and supports the growth of the carbon economy.

The branch is responsible for two key areas: delivering the CER Change Program and managing CER’s Data Office. Both are essential to achieving CER’s outcomes - reducing Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions and supporting sustainable biodiversity management using market-based mechanisms.


About the Role

We are seeking an Executive Level 1 Data/Analytics Engineering Lead who will be responsible for guiding a team that develops reliable, analytics‑ready data products supporting the agency’s regulatory, reporting and compliance functions. The role provides technical leadership across data modelling, transformation and validation, and oversees end‑to‑end data delivery from ingestion through to publication. It involves close collaboration with analytics, data engineering, data science and platform teams, as well as working with product and business stakeholders to translate operational and policy requirements into practical data solutions. The position contributes to Agile planning and delivery activities and communicates key technical considerations and risks to senior stakeholders.
