We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Grant Writer with a proven record of securing competitive grants and funding partnerships from international donors, development agencies, and impact investors. The ideal candidate will be skilled in turning innovative ideas into well-structured, fundable proposals that align with Clargreen’s business model and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

? Research and identify relevant funding opportunities from public and private sources (grants, innovation challenges, accelerator funds, and impact investors).

? Develop high-quality concept notes, proposals, and funding applications tailored to donor or investor requirements.

? Collaborate with Clargreen’s leadership and technical teams to design projects, budgets, and logical frameworks that align with strategic objectives.

? Build and maintain a database of funding prospects and track proposal submissions and outcomes.

? Support strategic partnerships and co-development of proposals with collaborators and industry partners.

? Ensure all written submissions meet the highest standards of clarity, coherence, and alignment with funder priorities.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Business, Climate Change, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on grant writing experience with evidence of successful awards or secured funding.
  • Proven ability to write competitively for innovation grants, sustainability funds, or climate finance mechanisms.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability, green entrepreneurship, climate-smart agriculture, and environmental innovation.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and proposal development skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment.
