What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The starting pay for this position is $108,000.00 – $125,000.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site 3 days per week and off-site as needed. The Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency requires 3 days in office at the Wellington Webb Municipal Building. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

As the Climate Action Data Analytics and Impact Lead, you will be a key leader in CASR’s Climate Action Division, reporting directly to the Deputy Director. You will supervise one associate data analyst in support of this work.

As the Climate Action Data Analytics and Impact Lead, you will be a key leader in CASR’s Climate Action Division, reporting directly to the Deputy Director. You will supervise one associate data analyst in support of this work.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Analytics and Information Visualization – Designing and creating interactive dashboards, charts, graphs, maps, and other visualizations using various tools and software to help stakeholders understand information and make informed decisions. The City currently uses PowerBI as its preferred interactive data visualization platform.
- Impact Monitoring and Evaluation – Establishing KPIs, other metrics and data analysis tools (i.e., dashboards) to continuously monitor program performance and provide decision makers the ability to report and evaluate across programs/projects/investments.
- Data Policies, Procedures, and Standardization - Developing and implementing policies, procedures, business practices, and control mechanisms, to assure data integrity and access. Connecting disparate data sources across multiple programs and projects to bring needed data into a common analytics platform and source of truth.
- Cross-Functional Coordination – Aligning data management priorities with the CASR executive leadership team goals and priorities. Leading an office-wide Data Cross-Functional Team that will engage program managers in a consistent data strategy and approach. Managing a yearly budget and contractors to assist in developing data solutions.

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
- Experience translating complex data into easily understandable visual representations
- Strong data analytics experience with different platforms integrating different data sources
- Solid knowledge of and experience in implementing data stewardship practices and processes
- Experience building an architecture that integrates various pipelines and cloud environments
- Supervisory experience in leading analysts to achieving organizational goals
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or other related field.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of senior level data analytics experience.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
