Trade Operations Analyst
Chooose builds software to enable lower-carbon fuel value chains in hard-to-abate sectors.
Companies like Delta Air Lines, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, and Microsoft use the Chooose platform to build, operate, and scale their sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) programs, and to advance voluntary and compliance carbon management initiatives.
With offices in Miami and Oslo, and remote employees across the US and Europe, Chooose is relentlessly focused on delivering enterprise software products to enable our partners to efficiently scale carbon programs and to engage their value chains in the process. The company has raised $50M from leading venture capital and strategic investors.
The role
This role functions as a Trade Operations Analyst inside a fast-paced, global Series B company. You will manage the full lifecycle of our lower-carbon products and act as the primary operator driving clean execution across supply, inventory, risk, and settlements. You’ll have direct exposure to the CFO who brings deep trading experience and expects precision, speed, and strong operational instincts. You will collaborate closely with Chooose’s Commercial, Finance, Engineering, and Legal teams.
What you'll do
- Run the end-to-end lifecycle of lower-carbon commodity flows: Configure supply portfolios, track inventory movements, reconcile activity against contractual terms, manage real-time supply / demand alignment, and ensure transaction readiness at all times.
- Execute SAF attribute and related product flows through Chooose’s platform: oversee data ingestion, documentation review, and operational checks during supply digitization; maintain live visibility across all supplier feeds, reporting pipelines, and fulfillment obligations.
- Own counterparty and partner interfaces: operate as the day-to-day point of contact for suppliers, traders, and financial institutions; support exposure monitoring, delivery scheduling, and settlement accuracy.
- Safeguard operational integrity and risk management: identify discrepancies early, resolve breaks, and maintain clean books and records; monitor inventory positions, counterparty exposure, and operational bottlenecks across the portfolio.
- Strengthen and scale operational infrastructure: improve processes for supply onboarding, reconciliation, and transaction close-out; collaborate with Engineering to build automation, reduce manual touchpoints, and ensure platform robustness; maintain and evolve operational documentation as the market, products, and scale evolve.
What you'll bring to the table
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative/analytical field.
- 4+ years in trade operations (commodities preferred), middle/back office, or complex technical supply-chain roles.
- Comfortable working directly in backend tools—Command Line Interfaces, internal configuration systems, data analytics environments.
- Strong operational discipline: process ownership, exception management, and risk-aware execution.
- Ability to juggle multiple priority lines in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.
- Clear, direct communicator with mature stakeholder instincts.
- Adaptable, pragmatic, and energized by building in a market that is still taking shape.
- High availability mindset and comfort collaborating across regions and time zones.
