ABOUT CCAN

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) is the only group in the Chesapeake region of Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. dedicated exclusively to building a powerful grassroots movement to fight climate change. CCAN’s legal intern will assist CCAN’s general counsel with one or several of these matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

CCAN’s legal intern should expect involvement in various projects which may include drafting briefs, legal research memos, regulatory filings, writing articles and fact sheets, commenting on proposed state and/or federal agency regulations or draft pollution permits, preparing legislative and regulatory testimony and comments, attending state and federal regulatory hearings and meetings with congressional members, state legislators, regulators and executive branch staff.
