About Chargerzilla
Chargerzilla is a fast-growing startup on a mission to make EV charging simple, accessible, and community-powered. Our mobile app connects EV drivers with available charging stations of a// types-from public networks to private home chargers. We're expanding to Los Angeles to empower local homeowners to share their EV chargers and earn extra income while accelerating the transition to electric mobility. We're also working with companies operating small businesses to help them deploy EV charging in areas considered "Charging Deserts". Chargerzilla is funded and supported by Techstars, Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), and few investors in the climate-tech space.

• Based within Los Angeles with the ability to attend events and meet prospects in-person.
• Passionate about Marketing, EVs, sustainability, and clean technology.
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts.
• Excellent communicator-both written and verbal-with strong people skills.
• Experience or coursework in marketing, sustainability, project management, or event coordination
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
About the Role
We're looking for an organized, entrepreneurial, and community-driven Project Manager – Marketing (Intern) to lead our Los Angeles Home Charger Pilot Program. This initiative aims to build local awareness and drive sign-ups among:
1. Homeowners who are willing to make their residential chargers available to EV drivers via the Chargerzilla app.
2. Business owners who would like to support their community by providing EV charging.
3. Tesla/EV owners who like to find the next EV charging session
You'll work directly with the leadership team and advisors to plan, coordinate, and execute grassroots outreach efforts throughout the LA area preferably in the underserved and disadvantaged communities.
Key Responsibilities
• Pilot Planning & Coordination
o Develop a local project plan and calendar for the Los Angeles pilot launch.
o Identify key community events, EV meetups, and sustainability fairs for outreach.
o Coordinate logistics for booth setup, promotional materials, and on-site presence.
• Community Engagement
o Represent Chargerzilla at local EV and sustainability events.
o Onboard homes and businesses as EV charger hosts
o Focal point between hosts and guests during reservations.
o Educate homeowners and EV enthusiasts about the benefits of joining the network.
o Help participants understand the ROI model for hosting a home charger.
o Explain the no cost EV charger installation service to business owners.
• Marketing & Partnerships
o Collaborate with local Community based organizations (CBOs), EV clubs, homeowner associations, and sustainability groups.
o Draft and execute social media or local marketing campaigns to promote pilot participation.
• Reporting & Feedback
o Track host onboarding, reservations, revenues that are generated, event attendance, sign-up metrics, and participant feedback.
o Provide weekly progress updates and recommendations for scaling.
o Meet Performance metrics based on above responsibilities.
• Preferred qualifications
- Experience in content development, marketing, or related roles — preferably in finance, investment management, or professional services.
- Project management track record managing lead generation campaigns and nurturing leads through marketing funnels.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills — with a keen understanding of audience segmentation.
- Experience with email platforms (HubSpot), analytics tools and social media management.
- Adept at managing external agencies, internal stakeholders, and high-stakes projects with tight deadlines.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on attitude — ready to ideate, execute, and optimize.
