What You Will Be Doing
ChargePoint is recruiting a capable, motivated, and creative professional to join our Global Communications team. Driving all aspects of European Communications in a high-visibility role, the position will have a direct hand in the four core competencies of the department: Social Media, Corporate Communications, Public Relations and Internal Communications. The ideal candidate will desire a generalist position with exposure to all aspects of the department and all of the European markets we operate in.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Working closely with the Global Communications team, you will develop and execute bespoke communication strategies for ChargePoint's core European markets.
- Ensure HQ-led campaigns are best adapted and executed to drive results in Europe.
- Act as a partner to the European commercial team, finding communication solutions for their challenges and opportunities.
In Social Media and content:
- Drive growth, engagement, and brand awareness across channels.
- Localize ChargePoint's social media efforts, generating regionally relevant and effective content.
- Identify key thought leaders, encourage active coverage across their platforms, and build direct relationships on behalf of the company.
- Manage cross-functional elements of social media, liaising with customer support and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to drive successful launches and campaigns.
Corporate Communications:
- Seek out, apply for, prepare and staff Executive speaking opportunities
- Act as a communication partner to marketing and policy stakeholders
- Support VP of Communications with reporting materials and presentations for the region
- Track and maintain European communications calendar + precesses
Public Relations:
- Drive company PR efforts across Europe.
- Direct ownership of, and engagement with, top-tier media contacts as a "white glove" resource.
- Ownership of press releases, interview prep documents, presentation material, media pitches, and similar PR content.
- Maintain media lists and related assets in impeccable order
Internal Communications:
- Develop and distribute relevant communications material to keep employees engaged and informed.
- Be an enthusiastic and energetic Internal Communications leader, bringing the employee base across Europe "closer" to our teams on other continents.
- Curate EU specific employee advocacy content to empower employees to act as advocates for the brand.
Requirements
- 7-12 years of Communications or Public Relations experience in automotive, technology, or a similar space which intersects with the world of EV charging
- Business proficiency in English and German is a must, with French being a major plus
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with the AP style guide
- Track record of proactively developing and executing communications plans in multiple European markets.
- The ability to flawlessly develop a wide range of communication materials without editorial support.
- Enjoys a balance of thinking and doing, as this role requires both.
- A passion for electric mobility and renewable energy.
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment with a workload spread across diverse subject matter
