Our client, a well-established and growing real estate development and property management firm based in White Plains, NY , is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This company manages a diverse portfolio of residential properties across the New York metro area and takes pride in maintaining high-quality, sustainable communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Oversee general ledger activity and ensure accuracy across multiple entities and properties
  • Analyze financial results and variances to budget; provide insights to leadership
  • Manage property-level accounting using Yardi software
  • Assist with audit preparation and annual reporting requirements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based financial reports and tracking tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate, property management, or construction
  • Proficiency with Yardi Voyager or Yardi Breeze required
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis)
  • Strong xrczosw understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • CPA or progress toward CPA a plus
