Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the organization's financial health. This position is responsible for overseeing accounting processes, ensuring compliance with nonprofit regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about contributing to a mission-driven organization.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
• Assist with annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a nonprofit setting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
