As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the organization's financial integrity-supporting grants, contracts, and program reporting while ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: Senior Accountant

  • Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and grant tracking schedules.
  • Support program managers with financial insights to aid in budgeting and project planning.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
  • Assist with annual audit preparation and liaise with auditors as needed.
  • Maintain documentation for grant expenditures and funding sources.
  • Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and transparency.


Qualifications of the Role: Senior Accountant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of nonprofit accounting experience, including multi-grant or multi-program environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and composure.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; experience with nonprofit financial systems preferred.
