Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

  • Drive monthly and quarterly contract revenue recognition, posting entries and reconciliations for state and county programs
  • Manage financial reporting for 3-4 core contracts (up to 12 programs), ensuring data integrity and timely submissions
  • Coordinate unit-of-service data gathering with program managers, proactively identifying discrepancies and resolving issues
  • Prepare, review, and modify budgets, ensuring contract and compliance alignment; submit budget modifications as needed
  • Utilize Sage Intacct to generate and analyze program-level reports; provide support on ad hoc assignments xrczosw as bandwidth allows

Must-Have Skills/Experience

  • Strong accounting background with proven experience in revenue recognition and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Demonstrated teamwork and effective communication in a multi-person finance environment
