Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and drive process efficiency. This role oversees Accounting, Internal Controls, Cash Posting, Contract Maintenance, General Accounting, and Accounts Payable, while supporting corporate initiatives such as audits, reporting, and financial planning. The company is a multi billion dollar financial services organization that operates in the US, Canada and also in multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities of the Controller:

• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Manage monthly close and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance.
• The Controller will collaborate with FP&A on planning and analysis.
• Support audits and tax reporting.
• The Controller will drive automation and technology initiatives, including Workday GL implementation.
• Assist with mergers & acquisitions and GAAP research.

What we are seeking in a Controller

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 15+ years of experience, ideally in financial services. xrczosw
• Proven leadership and technical accounting expertise.
• Experience preferred with larger ERP systems and knowledge of CECL preferred
• Financial Services experience as an Accountant
