Our client is a provider of back-office accounting services operating in a shared services model. They support the retail furniture industry and other sectors, delivering efficient and high-quality financial operations.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing core accounting functions, supervising staff, and preparing financial reports. This position requires a strong understanding of real estate accounting, particularly common area maintenance reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile common area maintenance charges (CAM Reconciliations)
- Maintain the general ledger and support month-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable and support accounts receivable as needed
- Prepare financial statements
- Supervise and mentor one direct report
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in real estate accounting, including familiarity with common area maintenance reconciliations (CAM Reconciliations)
- Supervisory experience, including xrczosw team leadership or direct reports
- Ideally over two years of experience in general ledger accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (flexible depending on experience)
- Experience with Yardi and/or Sage accounting software
- Background in franchise or shared services accounting environments is a preferred
