Key Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for a portfolio of 10-12 properties
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Provide financial information to auditors, tax consultants, lenders, property managers, and partners
- Assist with annual budget preparation, recoveries, 1099s, and sales tax filings
- Process annual property tax bills and coordinate tax return preparation, including K-1 distribution to partners
- Support preparation of construction draws and other special projects as assigned by the Controller
Qualifications of the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university. CPA license preferred but not required.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Yardi a plus
- 5+ years of working experience in accounting. Commercial real estate accounting experience required
