About the Investor Network Team
The Investor Network team works with more than 220 institutional investors (managing more than $46 trillion in assets) to advance sustainable investment practices, engage with corporate leaders, and advocate for key policy and regulatory solutions to accelerate the transition to a more just and equitable world. We work both domestically in the U.S. and on global collaborations including Climate Action 100+, The Investor Agenda, the Paris Aligned Investment Initiative, and the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative.

About the Role
The Senior Associate, Investor Network will support the team’s relationship managers and build the systems to track and monitor progress of the investor network. This role is part of the Investor Network and routinely interacts with the Ceres Innovation and Evaluation Team. The relationship between these two teams is critical to measuring internal progress against goals and to inform funders about the status of deliverables their grants support.

This full-time, salaried position is remote and will report to the Senior Director, Investor Network.

Primary duties may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Serve as core support to Ceres’ Investor Network to prospect, recruit, and onboard members.
  • Serve as core support to the Investor Network relationship management team including supporting the monthly meetings.
  • Serve as co-relationship manager for select investors in the network (with a mentor RM).
  • Track what members of the Ceres’ Investor Network are doing to help other teams within Ceres achieve their goals (e.g., how many investors we engage on a specific initiative).
  • Report quarterly to the Innovation and Evaluation Team, with input from Investor Network team members, concerning progress toward team goals.
  • Develop strong working relationships with colleagues across Ceres programmatic teams and find synergies to advance Investor Network and other program team priorities. Examples include:
    • Carbon Asset Risk initiative
    • Shareholder Initiative on Climate & Sustainability (coordination of filing resolutions & proxy voting)
    • Food and Forests team engagement with companies to end deforestation and disclose scope III emission
    • Fast Food campaign and the engagement of fast-food companies on GHG and water-related practice
    • Valuing Water initiative engaging companies on best practices in water stewardship
    • The Accelerator team mobilizing investors around policy and regulatory change that supports emissions consistent with the Paris Agreement goals and liaising with the Accelerator’s campaign manager for net zero finance.
  • Support progress reports and presentations for Investor Network, funders, public investor presentations and the Ceres Board.
  • Maintain and regularly update all datasets and Salesforce tracking systems for existing and new network members. Produce reports and presentations for Investor team and Ceres leadership on network development including dues, levels of engagement with, types of investors and other relevant investor demographics.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years full-time professional experience working within financial services or asset management industry required; specific understanding of capital markets, different asset classes, and investor expectations highly preferred.
  • Proven analytical background with strong quantitative and data analysis skills, required. Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with word-processing, presentation, database, and e-mail computer applications. Experience with a Bloomberg Terminal is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, sensitivity to diverse constituencies, and strong initiative and motivation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Successful record of working on multiple projects and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Clear and compelling written communications (emails, reports, and presentations).
  • Interest and willingness to be trained on specific applications necessary for work: (e.g., Salesforce, Bloomberg Terminal).

  • Desire to work in a mission-driven and nonprofit environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The hiring salary is $ $58,735-$62,000 with competitive benefits.
