FALL INTERN 2022 – CERES INVESTOR NETWORK (IN) – PARIS-ALIGNED TEAM

The Ceres Investor Network includes more than 220 institutional investors managing more than $60 trillion in assets. We work with our members to advance sustainable investment practices, engage with corporate leaders, and advocate for key policy and regulatory solutions to accelerate the transition to a just, sustainable, net zero emissions economy. Our global collaborations include Climate Action 100+, The Investor Agenda, the Paris Aligned Investment Initiative (PAII) and the Net Zero Asset Managers (NZAM) initiative.

Position Description & Responsibilities:

The Ceres IN Paris-Aligned Team is seeking a detail-oriented and accomplished researcher to contribute to the development of multiple Paris-Aligned workstreams (global collaborations and internal working groups). The projects will include project management tasks, in-depth literature review, net zero target setting protocols and review process, publication and presentation.

We are looking for candidates with strong research and organizational skills, an ability to work independently, and some familiarity with finance/investment and sustainability policies.

Specific opportunities to support this work may include but are not limited to:

  • Support projects to meet Ceres Paris-aligned Investment goals and funder deliverables

*

  • Support Ceres Paris-aligned campaigns (NZAM, PAII, and other elements of Net Zero Finance)

*

  • Support development of technical guidance around Paris Aligned Investment

*

  • Support Ceres Paris-Aligned Investment Working Group and subgroups

*

  • Collect and organize research findings and sources into shared team documents

*

  • Communicate with internal Ceres research collaborators, external network partners and external consultants

*

  • Assist in analyzing research and data collected to be presented in a publication

Our ideal candidate will have a mix of the following skills:

  • Understanding of the key issues and goals highlighted in the Paris Agreement gained through relevant life, academic, or career experience

*

  • Experience reviewing and synthesizing multiple different sources of qualitative information into a cohesive case for action

*

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently while being part of a team

*

  • Prior educational or professional experience in finance or banking sectors, a plus-Prior professional experience (full-time, part-time or internship) is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
