About the Co-op Program
The 6-month educational career experience allows undergraduate and graduate students to work in the nonprofit sector focusing on sustainability issues. It will provide students with meaningful and challenging work, a designated supervisor and mentor, and further their education through professional work experience. The Co-op Program gives students the opportunity to have an impact in Ceres’ environmental mission that tackles the world’s largest sustainability challenges, including climate change, water scarcity and pollution, and human rights abuses.
This role is a temporary full-time position that is remote or may be based in Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be flexible to work with employees in all US time zones.
About the Accelerator Program - Governance
Sustainability begins at the top. Ceres advances corporate sustainability leadership at the board level, facilitates integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) oversight into every aspect of decision-making, and moves companies to ensure all corporate actions — including their direct lobbying or lobbying through their trade associations — are in step with the latest science. Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Research
  • Project management
  • Data management
  • Support department with their needs
  • Event support
  • Prepare reports
  • Prepare presentations
  • Data tracking and analytics
  • Update and maintain CRM Database with external stakeholder details
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate or graduate students, minimum undergraduate Junior year
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Take initiative and problem solve
    • Prioritize responsibilities and multitask
    • Work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team
  • Strong research and organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Interest in being part of a diverse workforce and willingness to support Ceres’ Commitment to Inclusion and Equity
  • Desire to work in a not-for-profit, advocacy-focused organization
Compensation: The salary for all Co-op positions is $17/hr.
