Description & Responsibilities
The TA Manager generally works remotely but on occasion, may be required to work from Ceres’ Boston office. As such, candidates must live within a commutable distance to our Boston location.
The Talent Acquisition Manager will oversee recruitment and recruitment strategy for various positions at all levels, building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective candidates. and engaging in Ceres’ employer branding activities. The position is full-time and reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment

- Maintain and develop a pipeline of eligible candidates for future open positions
- Conduct interviews virtually or in-person
- Source, screen, qualify or reject candidates based on interview feedback and resume reviews
- Serve as the contact person for questions from candidates
- Develop proactive recruitment strategy to source diverse qualified candidates
- Host kick-off meetings with hiring manager, reviewing recruitment strategy, training hiring managers and teams on interview process, posting open positions, screening candidates, directing applications to appropriate parties, scheduling interviews, and conducting assessments for candidates,
- Actively develop new relationships with external partners to increase Ceres’ pool of candidates for all positions, with a special focus on building a more diverse pool of candidates
- Serve as primary recruitment contact with professional organizations, networks, specific colleges, and universities relative to recruitment strategy. Support other members of the TA team during vacation or other leaves.
- Meet regularly with Director, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning to review needs from Program areas.
Outreach and Branding
- Organize Ceres staff to serve as ambassadors in our recruitment practices
- Attend recruitment events specifically to expand our brand identity outside the New England and greater San Francisco areas.
- Partner with Ceres MarComms staff to develop materials and increase Ceres online footprint to expand our outreach efforts to attract more candidates, with a particular focus in diversifying our candidate pool
- Manage special projects as assigned by the Director, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required or commensurate experience.
- At minimum, 5 years of work experience, in progressive roles of responsibility in the field of Talent Acquisition
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize projects. Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
- Sound judgment, sensitivity to diverse constituencies, excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to demonstrate initiative and motivation.
- Proven ability to manage confidential information in an appropriate manner.
- Strong ethical sensibility and critical thinking ability.; Ability to look at problems as opportunities.

- Strong attention to detail and good follow-through on projects and communication.
- Effective presentation style as well as strong speaking and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization, a plus.
- Knowledgeable of the Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, teams, SharePoint), and comfortable with CRM systems such as Salesforce
Compensation: The hiring salary is $85,000 to $90,000 and pairs with competitive benefits.
