Job Description:
  • Proactive monitoring to evaluate and implement improvements to reconcile E commerce sales, portal payment / fee transactions performed to the General Ledger bookings.
  • Monthly completion of team assigned balance sheet account reconciliations for inventory, accounts receivable reserve allowances and ABL activity to reconcile to general ledger accounts.
  • Reconcile the cash journal to the bank statement and asset-based loan balances.
  • Champion the monthly close calendar to support the Accounting Manager and SVP of Finance to produce accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Maintain the Finance folder library of monthly reports to validate journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, and annual independent audits.
  • Manage the outsourced state sales tax collection, filing and reporting process for our growing E commerce business states exceeding financial nexus.
  • Work as a team to improve accuracy of Journal Entries that reduce manual processes and minimize human errors with SOP documented instructions within GAAP guidelines.
  • Assists auditors by providing supporting documentation and schedules as requested

Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Access
  • Strong understanding of accounting and business theory.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Accounting from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in a retail or Shopify E commerce distribution environment.
  • E-commerce reconciliation accounting experience a plus.
  • Inventory management a plus.
