Job Summary:

What You Will Do:

You’ll oversee the entire procurement process—from vendor selection, qualification, and contract negotiation to ensuring compliance with DOE requirements and quality standards. You’ll guide your team to deliver cost-effective, timely procurements while managing budgets, balancing workloads, and continuously improving processes. You’ll be the voice of procurement at planning meetings, the architect of smarter supply chain strategies, and the leader who ensures procurement priorities align with plant operations. Most importantly, you’ll coach and empower your team to deliver excellence every day.

We’d Love to Hear from People With:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Physical Sciences, or an equivalent mix of education and technical experience
  • 4+ years of nuclear experience
  • 10+  years of related experience (or a strong equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance 
     

A Successful Candidate Brings:

  • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification
  • Deep knowledge of purchasing, supply chain management concepts, and DOE subcontract administration
  • Familiarity with legal issues, contracting terms & conditions, Uniform Commercial Code, and risk topics like claims, disputes, insurance, and indemnification
  • Experience with Oracle Purchasing Systems
  • A proven ability to lead procurement teams in high-stakes, highly regulated environments while driving efficiency, compliance, and innovation
  • Currently holding an active Q-level security clearance

This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.  Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made.  In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.  Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
