Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform to convert non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, followed by high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable materials. Its technology is optimized for Indian biomass, enabling cost-efficient, scalable, and circular manufacturing. By valorizing agricultural residues, Cellumantra helps reduce farm-waste burning and dependence on imported enzymes and materials, creating climate-positive industrial solutions. The team aims to combine deep-tech innovation with commercially viable, impact-oriented business models.

Role Description This is a full-time, remote Co-founder role for Startup Fundraising Experts with Investments at Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. The co-founder will lead fundraising strategy and execution, including identifying and qualifying potential investors, preparing pitch decks and financial models, and managing investor outreach and follow-ups. Day-to-day tasks include developing and refining the funding roadmap (pre-seed, seed, and growth stages), coordinating due diligence, and negotiating term sheets and investment structures in collaboration with existing founders. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with angels, family offices, VC funds, strategic partners, and grant-making bodies, while representing the startup at events, demo days, and industry forums. The co-founder will also contribute to overall business strategy, support revenue-generating partnerships, and invest capital in line with agreed milestones and governance practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear investor-facing storytelling, presentation skills, and professional writing.
• Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing skills to craft compelling pitches, position the startup to different investor segments, and support go-to-market efforts.
• Candidates should possess solid Research abilities to map investor ecosystems, track funding trends, and identify relevant grants and strategic partners.
• Prior experience in startup fundraising (angel, VC, grants, or corporate partnerships), preferably in deep-tech, climate tech, or biotech.
• Understanding of term sheets, cap tables, ESOPs, equity structures, and basic corporate finance.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, engineering, biotechnology, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent experience is an advantage.
