INVESTOR/FUND RAISING CONSULTANT

Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform that converts non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, and subsequently on high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable materials. Its technology is optimized for Indian biomass to enable cost-efficient, scalable, and circular manufacturing processes. By valorizing farm residues, Cellumantra helps reduce farm-waste burning and import dependency while supporting climate-positive industrial growth.

Role Description The Investor/Fund Raising Consultant will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and nurturing relationships with potential investors, strategic partners, and grant-making bodies to secure financial support for the company’s growth. Day-to-day tasks include researching investor networks and funding opportunities, preparing and refining pitch decks and financial models, and coordinating investor outreach campaigns, meetings, and follow-ups. The consultant will collaborate closely with the founding team to align fundraising narratives with business milestones and sustainability goals, and to support due diligence, data room preparation, and term sheet negotiations. This is a full-time remote role, requiring proactive communication, regular reporting on fundraising progress, and the ability to work across time zones as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in fundraising, investor relations, or financial advisory, especially with early-stage startups or climate-tech/biotech ventures.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis, including understanding of equity, debt, and grant funding structures.
• Excellent skills in pitch deck creation, investment storytelling, and written and verbal communication tailored to diverse investor audiences.
• Ability to research and map investor ecosystems, including VCs, family offices, impact funds, corporate strategics, and government or multilateral funding schemes.
• Familiarity with sustainability, circular economy, biotechnology, or advanced materials markets, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building capabilities, with a focus on long-term strategic partnerships.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setup, managing multiple fundraising workstreams, and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; prior experience closing funding rounds or grants is highly preferred.
