Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform to convert non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, followed by high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable materials. Its technology is optimized for Indian biomass, enabling cost-efficient, scalable, and circular manufacturing processes. By valorizing farm residues, Cellumantra helps reduce farm-waste burning and lowers dependence on imported materials, creating climate-resilient value chains and new income streams for rural ecosystems.

Role Description The GLOBAL SBLC / Bank Guarantee / Fund Raising Consultant is a full-time, remote role responsible for securing global funding instruments and capital to support Cellumantra’s growth and project pipeline. This position involves identifying and engaging international lenders, investors, and financial institutions that provide Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC), Bank Guarantees, and other structured finance products. The consultant will evaluate funding proposals, negotiate terms, coordinate due diligence, and ensure compliance with relevant banking, regulatory, and documentation standards. Daily tasks include preparing financial presentations and project summaries, advising leadership on optimal funding structures, maintaining strong relationships with funding partners, and monitoring timelines and conditions precedent for successful disbursement. The role also requires close collaboration with the founding team to align fundraising strategies with business milestones and risk management objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong background in international banking, trade finance, and structured finance, including hands-on experience with SBLCs, Bank Guarantees, and related instruments.
• Proven track record in capital raising, project finance, or investment advisory for startups, infrastructure, cleantech, or industrial projects.
• Ability to assess financial risk, analyze term sheets, and interpret legal and regulatory requirements associated with cross-border transactions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills for working with global banks, investors, and internal leadership.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools and the ability to work independently, manage multiple funding processes, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of sustainable finance, ESG-focused investment, or climate-oriented funds is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Prior experience working with Indian or emerging market clients and understanding of local regulatory and banking landscapes is an advantage.
