Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform that converts non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for applications in textiles, wastewater treatment, and related industrial sectors. In parallel, it builds high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable material solutions. Cellumantra’s technology is optimized for Indian biomass, enabling cost-efficient, scalable, and circular manufacturing. By valorizing farm residues, the company aims to reduce crop burning, lower import dependency, and accelerate the transition to a climate-resilient bioeconomy.

Role Description The DEEPTECH/CLIMATETECH Fund Raising Consultant Expert will lead end-to-end fundraising initiatives to support Cellumantra’s growth and commercialization roadmap. This full-time remote role involves identifying and qualifying relevant investors (VCs, climate-tech funds, family offices, corporates, and impact investors) and mapping them to the company’s stage, sector, and funding needs. The consultant will craft and refine investment narratives, pitch decks, financial models, and data rooms tailored to deeptech and climatetech investors. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating investor outreach, managing fundraising pipelines, preparing the founding team for investor meetings, and supporting negotiations on term sheets and deal structures. The expert will also monitor global funding trends, recommend optimal capital strategies (equity, grants, non-dilutive financing), and collaborate closely with the leadership team to align fundraising plans with technical milestones and market expansion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fundraising for deeptech, climatetech, or biotech startups, including successful closure of institutional or strategic investment rounds.
• Strong skills in investment storytelling, pitch deck creation, and data room preparation, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear business value.
• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis for early-stage technology ventures.
• Knowledge of venture capital, impact investing, climate finance instruments, and funding structures relevant to hardware and industrial process technologies.
• Ability to research, segment, and build targeted investor lists, and manage structured outreach and relationship pipelines.
• Understanding of circular economy, bioeconomy, and sustainability markets, especially industrial biotechnology, materials, and climate mitigation solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to investors and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple fundraising workstreams, and collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Biotechnology
