Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform to transform non-wood agricultural waste into speciality biochemicals/ industrial bio enzymes and advanced cellulose micro fibre/cellulose nano fibre -biomaterials. The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and detergent ,leather industries wastewater treatment in phase 1 and in phase 2 biomedicines,health and pharma sector, followed by high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF)/cellulose micro fibres for sustainable materials applications. Its technology is optimized for Indian biomass, enabling cost-efficient and scalable circular manufacturing. By leveraging agricultural residues, Cellumantra helps reduce farm-waste burning, supports local value chains, and lowers dependence on imported materials, offering meaningful impact for both industry and the environment.

Role Description This is a full-time inhouse/remote role for a Co Founder with Investment at Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. The Co Founder will work closely with the founding team to refine the business model, drive go-to-market strategy, and support fundraising and investor relations. Day-to-day responsibilities will include market research, customer discovery, and outreach to potential industrial partners in textiles, wastewater treatment, and sustainable materials. The role involves shaping sales and marketing strategies, contributing to pricing and partnership structures, and helping prioritize product-market fit and growth opportunities. The Co Founder will also participate in high-level decision-making, support strategic planning, and actively contribute capital and expertise to accelerate the company’s commercialization and impact.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to assess markets, evaluate business models, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement, investor interactions, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Sales experience, including building pipelines, developing customer relationships, and closing B2B deals.
  • Marketing skills to design and implement go-to-market strategies, brand positioning, and digital outreach.
  • Research capabilities to understand industry trends, competitor landscapes, and technical feasibility in biotechnology and materials.
  • Proven entrepreneurial mindset with prior startup, venture building, or early-stage leadership experience.
  • Ability and willingness to make a financial investment in the company, aligned with agreed equity and governance structures.
  • Background in business, engineering, biotechnology, sustainability, or related fields; advanced degrees or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
  • Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced environment with a collaborative, transparent, and impact-focused approach.
