About The Job

The Global Search Manager is responsible for executing daily operations and ongoing optimization of Carrier’s global search ecosystem, including on-site search, enterprise SEO/GEO platforms, and search best practices in our CMS Adobe AEM. Working closely with the Global Search Leader, this role implements, maintains, and monitors global search configurations to ensure platforms function correctly and consistently across all regions. The role involves completing defined tasks, running recurring workflows, and executing operational checklists that maximize discoverability, performance, and return on investment. This is a data-driven role focused on action and consistent process implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On On-Site Search Execution

  • Technical Health & Architecture: Oversee technical site audits related to website architecture, crawlability, and indexability.
  • Global Optimization & Migration Support: Act as the primary technical lead for regional rollouts, managing end-to-end execution, indexing validation, and QA for new territories.

SEO & GEO Operations: From Data to Action

  • Operational Reporting: Maintain global platform configurations to ensure a "Single Source of Truth" across all regions.
  • Actionable Insight Generation: Translate complex SEO data and keyword research into prioritized weekly "Action Lists" for regional teams.

Generative Search & LLM Optimization (GEO Support)

  • GEO Enablement & Training: Upskill Business Units (BUs) by providing "GEO Playbooks" and checklists that show content creators how to optimize for AI-driven answers.
  • Visibility Tracking: Manage dashboards to monitor brand mentions in generative search and identify gaps for global or regional performance improvements.

Global Performance & ROI Benchmarking

  • Lead-Linked Reporting: Build and manage consolidated dashboards that link search behavior directly to business leads and bottom-line ROI across BrightEdge, Algolia, and Adobe.
  • Competitor Benchmarking: Log monthly risks and opportunities by benchmarking Carrier performance against key competitors and industry best practices.

Who You Are

  • 3–5 years’ experience in SEO, digital analytics, and search optimization
  • Profound knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO principles
  • Experience with enterprise SEO tools and on-site search platforms (Algolia is a plus)
  • Hands-on experience working with content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager preferred)
  • Strong technical literacy. A solid understanding of CMS workflows, JavaScript frameworks, and APIs as they relate to search performance
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, content, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Data-to-Action mindset. Proven ability to translate complex data sets into prioritized action lists and operational recommendations.
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organization preferred
  • High degree of organization, self-initiative, and a structured working style
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple execution tracks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills in German (B2) and English (C1)
