About This Role
This position is for a Controls Field Technician in Aftermarket and Service who is under minimal supervision and works more independently. Conducts and/or oversees equipment inspection and repair activities on a regular basis to ensure proper functioning. Responsible for on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation. Solves highly complex problems and serves as a resource on varied tasks.

Pay Range
$96,750.00-$135,250.00

About This Role
This position is for a Controls Field Technician in Aftermarket and Service who is under minimal supervision and works more independently. Conducts and/or oversees equipment inspection and repair activities on a regular basis to ensure proper functioning. Key Responsibilities
- Job requires fieldwork with controllers and associated components
- Highly qualified controls technicians preferred
- Working knowledge with BAS systems, Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus
- Complete each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while maintaining budgetary guidelines
- Partner with sales function to set parameters for equipment needs and project timeline
- Create submittals, read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets, controls and shop drawings
- Document and track project completion with as-builts and final program notation with all field changes
- Assemble Operation & Maintenance Manuals for completed projects.
- Utilize company and as required customer standard programs for designing graphic function blocks for assigned projects
- Test project programs to ensure specified sequences of operation are met and performed accordingly to industry standards
- Inspect HVAC system including point-to-point, determining the proper operating ranges for field devices, as well as complete functional system checkouts
- Conduct graphics engineering functions which include creating equipment and floor plan graphics per project documents
- Submit material orders for project- required materials to the purchasing group.
- Assist in the development of functional checkpoints lists for commissioning and additional documentation requirements to commission the system or work with the Commissioning Agent
- Company vehicle provided

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or technical field.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
- Valid and current Driver’s License and can be insurable by the company’s insurance.
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field.
- Knowledge of computers, setup procedures, and networking systems.
- Previous experience in AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
- Working experience with Carrier i-Vu, Tridium or BACnet systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control.
- Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation.
- Expert with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
- Experience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines.
