About This Role

Our Engineering team is accelerating Carrier’s sustainability initiatives to reach Net Zero through investments and research in technologies and methods that will shape the future of our products and services. As an Engineering Leadership Program Associate on the Product Sustainability Engineering Team, you will help drive the implementation of sustainability in Carrier’s Long-Range Plan, promote design for sustainability in our new product development program and support the development of business cases for green products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with business unit product engineering, management, and supply chain teams to identify data sources for Life Cycle Assessments and Product Chemical Compliance.
  • Analyze the energy use and carbon footprint of Carrier’s HVAC&R systems to guide decisions in alignment with our Science Based Target Initiative to Net Zero carbon emissions.
  • Data visualizations and written reports to communicate analyses to various stakeholders.
  • Create sustainabilitycase studies around materials circularity, Net Zero, refrigerant reclamation and emissions reduction metrics.
  • Attend company functions, lunch and learns, and networking events.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree inEngineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Applicant must be US Citizen and able to work in the US without sponsorship
  • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
  • Must be geographically mobile

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or similar Sustainability field
  • 3.2 or higher GPA preferred
  • Relevant coursework or previous internships/co-ops are preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration products
  • Sustainability mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to solve challenging and complex problems
  • Knowledgeable in LCA/environmental audit tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven and proactive

Pay Range

The salary for this position is between $52,500– $127,500 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
