Position
We are looking for a Hardware Developer to join our Product Care – Electronics team, in support of maintenance, improvement and development activities for our electronics product portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams both internally and externally, helping to ensure the reliability and technical continuity of our products throughout their entire lifecycle. You will play a hands-on role in managing homologations, running validation tests, supporting certification activities, and resolving technical issues reported from the field.
As a Hardware Developer – Product Care, you will be responsible for:
- Managing technical and design requests from Product Management and Marketing teams
- Sourcing and qualifying 2nd source components following End of Life, shortage or cost-out objectives
- Performing laboratory tests on components and validation testing on products (basic HW and SW functionality)
- Supporting certification activities by coordinating tests at internal and external laboratories, with a focus on EMC and safety requirements
- Updating and maintaining project technical documentation (DFMEA, flammability analysis, Mean Time Between Failures, Useful Life, Cross Impact Analysis, etc.)
- Analyzing issues reported by Service and Production teams, using a structured, problem-solving-oriented approach
- Supporting prototyping and pre-production activities, coordinating updates to line tests and related documentation
Requirements
- Academic background in electronics
- Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, ability to read electrical schematics and hands-on use of bench instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator)
- Familiarity with electronic CAD tools (e.g. Altium, Zuken) and simulation software (e.g. LTspice, PSpice)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel with shifting priorities
- Strong analytical mindset and a problem-solving attitude
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders (internal and external)
- Knowledge of PLM and/or ERP systems is a plus
