Poistion


We are looking for a Group Inventory & Material Planning Specialist to join our Group Planning Team, reporting directly to the Group Planning Manager.

This role plays a pivotal role in safeguarding production continuity across the Group by proactively managing supply risks, optimizing inventory levels across multiple locations, and maintaining alignment with Group stock targets. The position also supports supplier performance management at Group level, contributing to customer service level protection and working capital optimization.


  • Lead Group inventory planning and projection processes, defining safety stock strategies and target inventory levels.
  • Oversee inventory performance (turnover, excess stock, obsolescence) and drive corrective actions across plants.
  • Monitor material availability following demand fluctuations and ensure alignment between forecast updates and supplier capacity commitments (Vendor Capacity Control)
  • Identify material risks (shortages, extended lead times, potential supply disruptions) and coordinate mitigation and improvement plans with relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as first-level escalation point in case of cross-plant material disruptions.
  • Drive the development and rollout of the Inventory Optimization process and Supply Chain Visibility Dashboard.
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of supplier collaboration platforms, fostering digital integration across plants and suppliers.
  • Define and deploy Group standards for inventory and material planning processes, ensuring consistent application and proper training across the organization.
  • Provide consolidated reporting, risk dashboards, and performance analysis to Plants & Group Senior Management.
  • Oversee master data governance for material and inventory planning parameters (MOQ, safety stock, lead times, etc.).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by leading cross-plant process enhancement projects at Group level.


Requirements


Education


  • Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Statistics or similar disciplines.
  • APICS CPIM certification is a plus.


Experience


  • 2–4 years of experience in material and/or inventory planning.
  • Experience in multi-plant or multi-site environments is preferred.


Skills


  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to leverage advanced data analytics and AI-driven methodologies.
  • Proficiency in advanced inventory optimization tools (e.g., SO99+) and Advanced Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and planning parameter governance.
  • Structured, methodical approach to problem solving and project execution.
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in multinational environments.
