Procurement Manager (Construction • Solar • Renewable Energy)

Location: Coral Gables, FL

Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site

A growing organization in the renewable energy and construction sector is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support large-scale solar and clean-energy projects. This role requires a strong background in purchasing and contract negotiation within the solar energy industry , along with hands-on experience procuring materials and equipment for construction and engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement efforts for solar-energy materials, equipment, and construction components.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers and manufacturers in the solar and renewable-energy market.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for solar components and related construction services.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Finance to ensure alignment with project scope and timelines.
  • Monitor supply-chain risks, market trends, tariffs, and global conditions impacting solar procurement.
  • Manage vendor performance, cost analysis, and long-term supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, sustainability objectives, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience , with required experience in purchasing and contract negotiation specifically in the solar energy industry .
  • Strong understanding of solar-energy components (solar panels, inverters, racking systems, energy-storage equipment, electrical balance-of-system materials, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage bidding processes, RFPs, contract terms, and supplier negotiations.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, construction schedules, and solar-project specifications.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
